10 Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went to the chief priests in order to betray him to them. 11 And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought an opportunity to betray him. ESV Mark 14:10-11

Why do we do the things we do? Have you given that much thought? Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform to the patterns of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. God’s Word & the Holy Spirit changes our thinking & motives. Judas had heard Jesus teachings-seen the miracles & yet was driven by greed, desire for power, selfish gain. Judas had not been concerned about the cost of perfume poured on Jesus as much as Jesus saying it was to prepare Him for burial after crucifixion. Some believe Judas could have thought he could force Jesus into a place where He would change His mind. Whatever the motive-Judas is driven to betray Jesus. Stay in God’s Word & in prayer.
